7de Laan says goodbye to yet another star

Johannesburg - The villain Ty Prinsloo from 7de Laan played by Wilhelm van der Walt is packing his bags and moving to Cape Town by the end of the week.

The actor spilled the beans at the annual kykNET Fiësta Theatre Awards this past weekend. “I will be filming my last scenes this Friday. And once in Cape Town I will be doing some freelance work as well as voice-and theatre work,” he said.

On how his character will leave the Laan is yet to be revealed but we can speculate it has to do with him killing Herman (Deon Coetzee) and Louis (Leslie van Wyk) in October last year.When asked for comment from Danie Odendaal Productions they said, “we can’t give any more information at this time.”

Wilhelm’s long-time girlfriend actress Greta Pietersen – known for her role as Michelle in the Afrikaans soapie Suidooster (kyNET & Kie Mondays-Wednesday at 18:00) also lives in Cape Town and he is looking forward to spending more time with her.
