Cape Town – We all love a good movie especially if it has great characters and a good plot and sometimes the stories get to live on.

Many a movie has been adapted into a television series, some have been hits and other misses.

Here are 8 blockbusters that were made into TV shows:

1. Training Day

The Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke hit needs no introduction.

The series takes place 15 years after the events of the movie.

It centres on a young, idealistic police officer Kyle Craig (Justin Cornwell) as he goes undercover in the elite Special Investigations Section of the Los Angeles Police Department to spy on morally ambiguous Detective Frank Rourke (Bill Paxton).

According to Deadline with the untimely death of Paxton it will unlikely be renewed.
