Los Angeles - The nominations for the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday by Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul and How I Met Your Mother funnyman Neil Patrick Harris, who will also serve as the host of this year's show.

The Emmys celebrates the best in television entertainment over the past year, covering drama and comedy series, reality and variety shows, and mini-series and made for TV movies.

This year's Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, 22 September at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.
