Biggest Loser US gets a new host

Cape Town -  Following the abrupt exit of long-time host and Days star Alison Sweeney, the Biggest Loser team have found their new presenter. Set to make his debut as host in 2016, former trainer Bob Harper is making big moves.

On Tuesday, Bob released a statement to share the excitement about his new job. "I’m super excited about taking the position of host on The Biggest Loser. I’ve been with the show since season one so I know all of the ins and outs, and let me tell you, the weigh-in room is going to be a completely different ballgame with me at the steering wheel."

The seventeenth season is set to start filming later this month, with the new season expected to launch on US screens early next year.
