Cape Town – It was a golden ticket landslide in the Mother City as a total of 24 tickets were handed out - making it the most successful city thus far!
The comebacks blew the judges away, the new talent brought it and even Mrs Smith popped in at the audition rooms.
Here’s what went down on last night’s episode.
Things didn’t start off too well. We have to admit that Charlton had us a bit worried...
Then came Lize and totally blew everyone away! She even got Randall singing. Not too bad Mr Abrahams!
And then there were a string of familiar faces: Zubayr got things off to an...uhm...awkward start. Some people sure like to hold grudges.
The comeback kid of the evening Vincent Verhoog took to the stage and finally someone did John Legend’s All of Me justice!
Morgan Dean Smith, an Irish singer and wife of cricketer Graeme Smith, did her thing. She impressed the judges with her version of Adele’s Rolling In The Deep.
London Louw proved that persistence does pay off. He finally made the cut with his 6th audition. He also lost a whopping 30kgs! Talk about commitment.
The best audition of the evening goes to Tebogo Louw who’s soulful rendition of Bruno Mars’ When I Was Your Man made him an early favourite.
We weren't the only ones who loved the CT auditions! Here's what Twitter had to say.
I have my favorite already! Joseph (Tebogo) Louw.. I'm blown away. Like, wow. #IdolsSA
