Los Angeles - Charlize Theron broke out into her mother tongue in an interview with Piers Morgan on CNN which aired in the US on June 29.
The Oscar-winner from Benoni was asked by the former Britain's Got Talent judge to demonstrate how one "actually" pronounces her name, and he found the result quite "sexy".
Later in the interview she explained - in Afrikaans - why she doesn't speak her first language that often.
Her words loosely translate as: "It's very difficult to speak in Afrikaans if there's only one person who speaks Afrikaans, and no one talks back to you, so it's a little strange to speak in my language."
