Cape Town – Clifton Shores is coming to youth channel Vuzu (DStv channel 123) which has acquired the broadcasting rights to the high-glam and hot bodies local reality show set in South Africa's poshest of postal codes.
According to sources, Vuzu has picked up the 15-episode local reality show which was filmed in Cape Town last year and which will be shown on Vuzu from around May or slightly later this year.
Insiders tells Channel24 that Clifton Shores was picked up but that "it has not been scheduled".
Luxury yachts and massive mansions
The show, produced by South Africa's coal mining millionaire Quinton van den Bergh, follows a group of girls who work for his events and entertainment company Quintessential.
The Los Angeles girls live, play and party it up in the Mother City as drama and fights unfold in Clifton – with their boyfriends in tow.
Clifton Shores, which plays as a cross between MTV's Laguna Beach and The Hills, was not commissioned by a local broadcaster which gave the producers more control, creativity and leeway with what they wanted the show to be and how they wanted it to look.
The drama ventures from luxury yachts and massive mansions in Clifton to clubs and other swanky venues around Cape Town.
Clifton Shores stars Jamillette Gaxiola, Toby Moniz, Brett Roux, Rikki Brest, Claire Dante, Kathy David, Steven Jackson, Katie Marie, Destiny Moniz, Raquel O'Donoghue and of course Quinton van der Bergh himself.
