Cape Town - DStv operator MultiChoice has announced that it will only produce a single version of DStv's Dish Magazine that will include both the lifestyle section and schedules, reported DStv.com on Tuesday.
In April, DStv was forced to relook their decision to remove the TV guide from the magazine after numerous complaints from subscribers.
According to the report, the magazine will only be sent to subscribers who "indicated a positive response" to receiving the magazine. Those who did not respond, or specifically indicated they did not want a magazine, will not receive copies of the publication.
Only a quarter of the total number of DStv subscribers responded to the poll which was held to determine whether the magazine should continue or not.
'We apologise to our subscribers'
"We would like to thank our subscribers for taking the time to indicate their preference for Dish Magazine.
"We appreciate the feedback and would like to thank you for your continued support. We also apologise to those loyal subscribers whom we inconvenienced during this interim period," Collins Khumalo, the CEO of MultiChoice South Africa, said.
MultiChoice added that they would continue to give their subscribers the option of choosing whether they received the magazine or not.
The satellite TV service also announced that the magazine will only be available again in September as a result of printing delays.
