Los Angeles - South African-born actor Dean Geyer appears shirtless in a new promo for season 4 of Glee, giving fans a taste of his new character on the hit TV musical.

The South African born actor, who moved to Australia in 2001 when he was 13, landed the role of Brody Weston in Glee, a potential love interest for Lea Michele's character, Rachel Berry.

The new promo gives viewers a first look at the new season of Glee and shows Dean in nothing but a towel, still wet from a shower when he first meets Rachel.

In the promo for the new season, Dean reveals a bit more about his character. "I play a character called Brody Weston. He's showering, when Rachel Berry walks in and he comes out naked," he said.

"I’ve already gotten a few tweets from from Finn fans!" he said, referring to Rachel's on-and-off boyfriend in the show, played by Cory Monteith.

Of her scenes with Brody, Lea said that as far as she knows, Brody is the only guy to challenge Finn's hold on her heart.

Fans will be able to see Dean's Glee debut when season 4 premieres in the US on Fox on 13 September.
