Deena favoured to win MasterChef SA

Cape Town - Durban IT specialist Deena Naidoo is the overwhelming favourite among our readers to take the MasterChef SA  crown.

Most readers agree that the 45-year-old has impressed them with his cooking skills and done enough to win the competition.

"My favourite finalist to take the title must be Deena. He has been in the pressure tests several times, but has proven over and over again that he can come though the difficulties every time.

"He has the right attitude, passion, drive and commitment. I hope he wins," said reader Desiree.

Sharron Wheeler agreed and said Deena had also impressed her.

"It is not often these days that you come across such a humble person in all respects and who shows and feels such absolute respect for any and every person he comes into contact with," said Sharon.

Sally Govender was also impressed with Deena's attitude.

Humble and honest

"He is so humble and honest that is what makes him a winner. I am rooting for you and my prayers are with you every Tuesday night," she said.

Rabeya Bartiss, Moira Khumalo, Beverly Pillay, Louwrens Bester,Romain Komar, Louwrens Bester and Ravi Govender also confirmed Deena as the favourite .

However, there were others who thought that Sue-Ann still stood a chance of winning.

"My favourite MasterChef  finalist is Sue-Ann. She always makes it through the pressure tests and never gives up. I think she deserves it," wrote Cheryline Joseph.

Another reader, Colleen, was caught in the middle by the cooking skills of the contestants as well as his hometown allegiance.

"As a Capetonian I would love Sue-Ann to win, but love Deena too!

"They are both so brave to select the tricky and difficult dishes," he wrote.

Judging from the reader's responses it looks like this one is already in the bag and on its way to Durban.

Catch the MasterChef SA  season finale this coming Tuesday 24 July on M-Net and M-Net HD at 19:30.
