E! celebrating Joan Rivers with TV special

2015-09-08 21:00

Cape Town – E! Entertainment (DStv 124) will look back at the life and career of Joan Rivers in a Celebrating Joan TV special that will be shown in South Africa on the channel on Thursday 10 September at 21:00.

The Celebrating Joan special on E!, with her daughter Melissa Rivers as the presenter, will look back at the comedienne's most memorable Fashion Police moments to mark the one year anniversary of her death.

Joan Rivers, 81, died on 4 September 2014 for what was supposed to be a standard procedure on her vocal cords, after sudden serious complications in a New York clinic. Earlier this year Melissa Rivers filed a malpractice suit against the clinic.

The half hour special will contain the best of Joan Rivers' bloopers and mishaps, her most unforgettable and hilarious moments, along with some of the biggest and funniest guests from Joan's four years on the series, says E! Entertainment.

The special will feature highlights of Joan's conversations about the "birds and the bees", along with footage of all the times she used her favourite word on Fashion Police - bleeped on DStv of course.
