Los Angeles - The two most popular and longest running adult cartoon series will finally have the cross-over that fans have been asking for - Family Guy will be visiting The Simpsons in Springfield.
Fox, who produces both shows, announced on Thursday that next year an episode will be aired where Matt Groening's The Simpsons will make a cameo in Seth MacFarlane's animated sitcom Family Guy, according to Variety.
The plot will revolve around a visit to Springfield by the Griffins, where Stewie, the villainous toddler, becomes obsessed with Bart, the bad boy, while the two patriarchs of both shows, Homer and Peter, quarrel over who has the best animated beer - Pawtucket or Duff.
