London - Sue Perkins has quit Twitter after receiving a deluge of death threats following reports she's up for Top Gear presenter's job.
The 45-year-old TV star has signed off of the social media website, due to a barrage of threats after she became the bookies' favourite to replace sacked Jeremy Clarkson on the BBC motoring show.
Sue tweeted: "Guys, post the utterly fabricated story about me & Top Gear, my timeline has been full of blokes wishing me dead ... This morning, someone suggested they'd like to see me burn to death. All of which goes to say that I am off Twitter for a bit. Love and peace x (sic)"

Being a big motor racing fan, and holding the record for the fastest celebrity lap in the Top Gear feature, Star in a Reasonably Priced Car Jodie has previously admitted she would be up for the presenting job.
The 36-year-old beauty said: "Why not? Yes! I'm sure we can get two people to sign a petition."
