London - Sue Perkins has quit Twitter after receiving a deluge of death threats following reports she's up for Top Gear presenter's job.

The 45-year-old TV star has signed off of the social media website, due to a barrage of threats after she became the bookies' favourite to replace sacked Jeremy Clarkson on the BBC motoring show.
