Cape Town - Idols contestant Freddie Van'Dango told his supporters during an interview on Facebook that he plans to release his first album, Red Horizon, by the end of the year.
Van'Dango, who was voted out of the Idols competition on Tuesday after receiving the least votes, also wants to take a two-week break before he sings again.
"I first want to sort myself out before I start doing shows again. But if I'm not on stage within the next month I will die, because I'm a junkie for the stage."
Answering a question from one of his fans about when he plans to release an album, Van'Dango said he wants to start recording his songs as soon as possible and wants to release his album by the end of the year.
Many of his fans also asked him about his tattoo. Van'Dango explained that the tattoo on his chest reads "God dank vir klank" (Thank God for sound).
Van'Dango wants Dave van Vuuren to go as far as possible in the competition, but according to him the other two participants, Crushanda Forbes and Mark Haze, also deserve to win.
The top three finalists will compete on Friday at the Mosaïek Theatro in Johannesburg where each of them will sing three songs, including a song from the year they were born.
This show will be broadcast on Sunday September 18 at 17:30 on M-Net and Mzansi Magic.
