Los Angeles - OJ Simpson did not tell Oprah Winfrey's producers that he killed his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
A Harpo representative told THR that the rumours of a confession were "not true".
On Friday the Daily Mail reported that rumours were circulating that the disgraced former sports star had told one of Winfrey's producers in an interview from prison that he stabbed ex-wife Nicole in self-defence.
Winfrey has maintained that she dreams of getting a confession from Simpson.
Suntimes.com reports that while speaking at the National Cable and Telecommunications Association's annual Cable Show in Chicago recently, Winfrey said: "I want the interview on the condition that you are ready, Mr Simpson."
The queen of talk's follow-up show, Oprah's Next Chapter, will premiere on OWN in January 2012.
