Idols SA hottie gets the boot

Johannesburg – It was second time lucky for Kyle Deutschmann who made the top 32 in Season 8. This time around the 26-year-old chiropractor from Durban made it to the top 5.

Sadly his Idols dream came to an end when he was voted out of the competition this week.

We chatted to Kyle about his best moment on the show and his new found fame with the ladies.

Channel24:
Was there a moment in the show you were able to pause and take it all in? If so, what was that?

Kyle:
I think I was calm and enjoyed every moment and made the most of every performance. The one performance I enjoyed the most was Radioactive by Imagine Dragons.

Channel24:
Some of the most successful Idols didn’t win. Does that make you feel like you still have a chance?

Kyle:
Yes, for sure that’s why I entered Idols. I have recorded music and I was looking for a platform to release it. I think I accomplished it in this competition.

Channel24:
What's one song you would have loved to perform on Idols that you didn't get to?

Kyle:
The song I prepared for this week, Loliwe by Zahara.

Channnel24:
What's your biggest musical guilty pleasure?

Kyle:
I’m not a good piano player but I do enjoy just playing for myself and getting lost in the music.

Channel24:
How are you handling your new found fame with the ladies?

Kyle:
Do I have that? It’s something that just comes with the territory I guess, being in the limelight. It’s just awesome that people like and support you for whatever reason.
