Idols winner gets reality show

Cape Town - House of Davids, a reality series about the life of Sasha Lee Davids, co-winner of Idols 2009 and her family will be launched at the Fugard Theatre on Monday.

The series, which starts on kykNET on October 25, deals with the Davids family and their involvement in the Atlantis community. The series was produced by a Belgian production company.

According to Nico Nel, marketing and publicity agent for kykNET, the series follows the daily life of each family member.

"Because the Davids' are such a large family and because they are known in Atlantis, it was decided to focus on them.

"The programme follows each member's activities, from their involvement in the church to other activities."

Each episode will be 46 minutes long.

One of the episodes was shot in District Six, while another was recorded at the V&A Waterfront's Amphitheatre where Sasha Lee held a show with her brothers and sisters.

House of Davids will be the first reality series that kykNET will broadcast.
