Los Angeles - James May says Top Gear without Jeremy Clarkson just "wouldn't work".

The 52-year-old star thinks it's "virtually impossible" for someone to do a good job of replacing his former co-host, who was fired from the BBC show following a fracas with producer Oisin Tymon last month.
