Los Angeles - Jennifer Garner has joked Gone Girl producers must have used a "wide lens" to capture her husband Ben Affleck's manhood.

The 42-year-old actress – who has been married to the Hollywood star since 2005 – had a conversion with him over dinner about a scene in which he appears fully naked in the thriller, and quipped the reason the film is tipped to become number one at the box office is because of his penis.

In an interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, which is due to air today, Jennifer explained: "He came home and was like, 'Hey, at work today David Fincher talked me into walking out of the shower.' And I was like 'Oh, cool. I hope he had on a wide lens.' "

Jennifer joked she was "giving something back" to the world by letting Ben go full frontal in the motion picture.

She added: "I think you're probably onto something. And to be honest what I have to say is you're welcome.

"I try to consider myself a charitable person. You give me so much and I wanted to give something back to all of you."

Jennifer's comments come after Ben - who has three children, Violet, eight, Seraphina, five, and Samuel, two, with the brunette beauty - joked his member looks a lot better in 3D screenings of the movie.
