Jersey Shore cast feel 'sad but blessed'

Los Angeles - The stars of the MTV hit reality show Jersey Shore are sad the show has been axed.

The forthcoming sixth season of the reality TV show, which will premiere in October in the US, will be its final series and Snooki and Pauly D took to their Twitter pages to share their sadness at the decision.

Snooki wrote: "Yes, sadly it's true. This upcoming season of Jersey Shore will be our last. But it was fricken INSANE. I will always love my roomies(sic)!"

Pauly added: "I Must Say, Sad To See It Go , But Am So Blessed To Have Been Apart Of This !!!!#TeamDJPaulyD Lives On (sic)."

Other castmates just as sad

Castmates Sammi Giancola and Deena Cortese also reminisced about the show and insisted they will miss their fellow stars.

Sammi tweeted: "It's been one hell of a ride but this is just the beginning. Thank you all for your love & support throughout the seasons!! These memories will never be forgotten!! (sic)"

Deena wrote: ''It really just hit me now this summer was the last time I'll be filming with my roomies we all share something incredible thnx to you guys (sic)."

Meanwhile, Vinny Guadagnino and Ronnie Ortiz-Magro are looking at alternative careers.

Vinny tweeted: "Aright, so I guess I'll run for president now #Vinny2012,'' while Ronnie had more modest ideas, writing: "I can always go work for Danny at the Shore Store! LOL (sic)."
