Lifetime TV channel opening for a weekend on DStv

Johannesburg – The Lifetime (DStv 131) TV channel from A+E Networks UK on MultiChoice’s satellite pay-TV platform will be opened for all DStv subscribers for a weekend.

Lifetime which is not encoded for DStv Premium subscribers will be unblocked for all DStv subscribers on the DStv Extra, DStv Compact, DStv Family and DStv Access packages for the weekend of 20 to 23 February.

Lifetime, the channel of shows like Dance Moms, launched in July last year on DStv with little exclusive content.

A+E Networks UK recently commissioned a new local reality show, Four Weddings South Africa, for Lifetime which is now looking for brides who want to compete with their weddings and which will be broadcast on the channel later in the year.

On Sunday 22 February at 20:00 DStv subscribers will be able to watch the made-for-TV movie Whitney, a biographical drama about the late singer Whitney Houston’s tumultuous personal life and rise to fame.

Yaya DaCosta who played Whitney Houston impressed with her performance and is now set to get a role in Chicago Med, the new medical drama spin-off from Chicago P.D. on M-Net and Chicago Fire on M-Net and SABC3.
