Little Britain to spoof royal wedding

Los Angeles - Little Britain could be set to return for a one-off spoof of the royal wedding.

Comedians David Walliams and Matt Lucas - who have now hung up their hats on the sketch show in favour of new series Come Fly With Me - have revealed they could be assuming the roles of Prince William and his bride to be Kate Middleton in the special episode.

David explained: "We'll play everyone going to the wedding, from the people outside to the royal footmen. We could play Kate and Wills, because I think Matt would look very beautiful as Kate Middleton."

Meanwhile, Matt admitted he may even dress up in full drag to assume the role of the brunette beauty.

He joked to The Sun newspaper: "It's hard to think that I could look more beautiful than I currently do, but yes.

"Certainly in full drag there's every chance that might happen."

However, David admitted he is still waiting for his invite to the nuptials.

He added: "I haven't got the invite yet - I'm expecting it any day."

The one-off Little Britain special is expected to air around the time of the royal wedding on April 29.
