Local psychic to represent SA in international Psychic Challenge in Ukraine

Cape Town – South African psychic Shannon Walbran will be representing SA at the International Psychic Challenge in Kiev, Ukraine - a "Big Brother" reality TV show, filming in July 2015.

When Shannon Walbran received the e-mail inviting her to Ukraine to participate in a reality TV show, she wondered if it was spam. But her psychic instincts lit up, and she clicked the link: it was real.

Walbran, known nationwide for her quick wit and spookily accurate answers on radio stations such as Metro FM, 702/Cape Talk, Power FM, and Radio Today, has been selected to be among 100 psychics from around the globe on a TV show in its 15th season on Ukraine’s STB network.

Although we won’t be able to see the show here in South Africa, and it will be in the Ukrainian language, Walbran says she will document her experience on her blog, Facebook, and Twitter, posting photos and stories regularly during her stay.

Ukraine has been in the news because of the massacre on the capital’s main square a year ago, in which 50 protestors and 3 police officers were killed. Ukraine and Russia are battling over territory on the nation’s eastern border.  Walbran says that perhaps her meeting with the other psychics will bring a moment of peace. "I will organise morning meditations in our group," she says, "and invite Ukrainians to take part, so we can all pray for peace together."

Jana Husak, the English translator at STB, says the "International Psychic Challenge" (called Bitva Extrasensov in Ukrainian) is not a Mythbuster-type show but hopes to demonstrate how psychic powers can help. "The main aim of this show is to prove that people with supernatural abilities exist and, of course, to help other people." Everyday Ukrainians will ask questions and get assistance from the psychics, who come from the UK, the US, and many other countries. Last year’s winner was Julie McKenzie, an Australian.

Shannon Walbran has helped more than 20 000 clients directly since she began practicing as a psychic in 2003. She is the author of Guided! How to Communicate with your Spirit Guides, available on Kindle and free on Audible. You can see more about her on her website.

Shannon will be doing her "Saturday Seminars" in Durban and Cape Town, after a successful series in Johannesburg. Participants ask a question and receive a specific, personal answer, and everyone learns a new technique to contact their angels on their own:
