Cape Town - Another MasterChef SA model bites the dust.
Ilse Fourie handed in her apron on Tuesday's episode after a gruelling 12-hour pressure test.
The 32-year-old former lingerie model from Cape Town ended up in the bottom three with Sue-Ann and Khaya after a boerewors invention test.
Manisha and Sarel came out tops in the boerewors challenge while Food24's resident chef Caro de Waal was most impressed with Lungile's ostrich sausage.
Counting... lamb?
Ilse, Sue-Ann and Khaya had to prepare slow-roasted shoulder of lamb, terrine made from lamb shanks, vegetables, maxim potato and a red wine jus. These dishes would see them cook through the night - they had 12 hours.
Khaya's pregnancy willed her to sleep while Ilse struggled with the deboning of her lamb shoulder.
Sue-Ann eventually won the challenge, but the judges were impressed with all the dishes.
Unfortunately Ilse's overcooked lamb and under par potatoes left her in the lurch.
MasterChef SA airs on M-Net and M-Net HD on Tuesdays at 19:30.
