Cape Town - Mmutsi Maseko is the little piggy who went home.
Maseko was eliminated from the MasterChef SA kitchen on Tuesday after failing to impress with her pig's cheek dim sum.
The 34-year-old mom from Johannesburg came dead last in more ways than one.
The red team narrowly lost the first challenge of cooking for the naval base in Simon's Town and the seven team members were then sent back to the MasterChef kitchen for the elimination challenge.
They were asked to rate their team members from 1 to 7 and the contestant with the highest average had the opportunity to pick the first cut of pork out of seven cuts that are generally regarded as off-cuts.
Top to tail
Sue-Ann had the highest ranking and picked the pork loin, a prime cut. Mmutsi had the lowest average and was left to whip up something with a pig's cheek.
Although Sue-Ann had the best cut, the judges said she 'killed' her meat by cooking it for too long.
Lungi bowled the judges over with her sticky pigs tails, with chef Benny exclaiming it was his dinner.
Finally, Mmutsi's failed attempt at cooking pig's cheek resulted in her handing in her apron.

Food24's resident chef Caro de Waal feels Tuesday's episode was one of the best yet and the challenges are bringing South African flavours to the fore.
MasterChef SA airs on Tuesdays on M-Net and M-Net HD at 19:30.
