Cape Town – Lungile Nhlanhla, who was ousted from MasterChef SA  on Tuesday, has joined Drum magazine as junior food editor.

The fashion design graduate from Durban confirmed the news of her appointment on Twitter.

When one of her followers @huiskok asked, "have you got it? Food editor? Drum?"

She replied, "Yes I did, working as junior food editor for Drum."

A tearful Lungile was eliminated from the MasterChef competition when her cauliflower mousse creation failed to come out the way she had planned.

The 21-year-old has already started her duties at the Drum magazine Cape Town office.
