Cape Town – The Showbiz Report on e.tv with Nicky Greenwall seems to be over as the new mom now has her sights set on becoming a talk show host.
The Showbiz Report is being replaced in its timeslot by a second season of The Close Up – Greenwall's well-received celebrity profile interview show – after which The Showbiz Report won't return but will see the start of a new show, Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall, in which she takes a turn as talk show host.
e.tv is bringing back The Close Up for a second season from Saturday 2 June at 19:30 in which people like Top Billing's Jeannie D will be profiled.
The Showbiz Report returned after a break earlier this year with new regular weekly episodes when Greenwall, whose daughter was born last year, returned from maternity leave.
Just before going on maternity leave she said that she didn't know whether she would want to continue with The Showbiz Report upon her return.
Talk the talk
When The Close Up concludes its second season of 10 episodes on 4 August, e.tv will then bring viewers a brand new series called Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall.
It is set to start on Saturday 11 August at 19:30.
Screen Time with Nicky Greenwall will be a weekly entertainment talk show in which Greenwall talks with celebrities.
The new mom will be doing weekly in-studio interviews with high-profile local entertainment stars who will open up about their personal lives and their professional projects.
The show will also comment on the week's most buzzed about local and international entertainment news stories.
e.tv did not respond when asked on Tuesday whether The Showbiz Report will ever be back on the small screen.
