Oscar Pistorius appears on Jay Leno

Cape Town - South African Paralympic hero Oscar Pistorius made an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on Tuesday.

The Paralympic star sat down with the popular talk show host to talk about his recent golfing adventure with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and his gold medal-winning experience at the 2012 Paralympics that was held in London from 29 August to 9 September.

Oscar won't be the first South African celebrity to go onto The Tonight Show.

Earlier this year, comedian Trevor Noah made a brief appearance on the show.

Oscar's interview with the American talk show host is said to be "something inspirational and motivating", according to Wonted.co.za

Oscar's The Tonight Show debut will be aired in South Africa on 11 October at 23:00 on DStv's CNBC Africa (channel 410).
