Magic return for Oscar

London - Oscar Pistorius is to appear on Dynamo: Magician Impossible.

The Paralympian - who has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, who he admits shooting but denies murder, saying he mistook her for an intruder - will be seen taking part in a magic trick as part of the illusionist's tour of South Africa on the third season of his show.

The episode was filmed months before he admitted to shooting dead his girlfriend on Valentine's day.

UK TV channel Watch considered axing the scene featuring Oscar, but have decided to air the footage unless any "major new evidence" comes to light in the South African's case.

An insider told The Sun newspaper: "It is just a short clip of Oscar doing a magic stunt with Dynamo and is a small part of the overall show.

'Continuing to monitor the situation'

"The episode it is due to feature in hasn't been finished yet and bosses did consider whether it should be cut. But they have decided it will stay, barring any major new evidence that comes to light in Oscar's case.

"But they are continuing to monitor the situation to see if anything happens that would cause them to take it out."

Oscar's appearance in Magician Impossible is expected to air in the third episode of the new series on 25 July, but details of the illusion are being kept under wraps.

The new series - which begins on Thursday at 21:00 on Watch - will also see Dynamo impress several stars including Hollywood legend Samuel L Jackson, Olympian Jessica Ennis and Celebrity Juice presenter Keith Lemon.
