PICS: Altus and Paula get married again

Johannesburg - It finally happened! 7de Laan’s favourite couple Paula (Diaan Lawrenson) and Altus (Heino Schmitt) tied the knot again after they rekindled their romance in July.

Altus was unfaithful to Paula when he danced in the sheets with fiery red-head Kristin (Loriska Bubb) in November 2014, but the couple have come a long way since then and Altus almost died in the process when he was trying to win back Paula’s heart.

Paula looked absolutely stunning in her rose coloured lace wedding dress customised by designer Matilda Engelbrecht who is head of the wardrobe department at Danie Odendaal Productions. Diaan said she loved the dress and added; “I loved my hairdo. I was actually quite jealous and wished Morné Max (stylist) also did my hair in that style for my own wedding in 2014.”

The wedding was filmed in July this year as the soapie films three months in advance so set designer, Bennie Marais and his team, had to work extra hard to make sure the wedding footage was filmed in a day. Bennie said that him and his team had built two new sets especially for the wedding; “There was a set for the ceremony and another for the reception. And for decorations I used candles instead of the usual fairy lights and soft colours including purples, soft pink and greens.”

Altus and Paula’s wedding was truly magical and we hope the couple will stay together forever.
