Cape Town – A former Red Power Ranger, Ricardo Medina Jr, 36, has allegedly killed his roommate with a sword.
The Associated Press (AP) reports that Ricardo Medina Jr, beloved by millions of children around the world as the Red Power Ranger Cole Evans in Power Rangers Wild Force, was arrested on Sunday for the death of his roommate, Joshua Sutter.
According to the Los Angeles Times "the incident began when Medina went to his bedroom with his girlfriend after getting into an argument with his roommate, Joshua Sutter".
Sutter forced open the bedroom door and Medina Jr took up a sword that he kept next to the door and fatally stabbed his roommate in the stomach. Medina then called 911 and waited for help, according to USA Today.
Since appearing in the Power Rangers Wild Force in 2003 he has also voiced the character of Deker in the 2012 Power Rangers, Power Rangers Samurai.
