Los Angeles - Robert Pattinson enjoyed a boozy night with this year's X Factor contestants in Hollywood.

The Twilight star - whose sister Lizzy is a hopeful in the over 25s category - treated the singers to drinks at the Rainbow Lounge on the Sunset Strip following a grueling day of auditions at their mentor Simon Cowell's LA home.

According to The Sun newspaper, Robert, 28, spent a few hundred dollars on beverages for the group - made up of Lizzy, Fleur East, Ben Haenow, Jay James, Helen Fulthorpe and Stevi Ritchie - and refused to let them foot the bill all night.

The hunky actor is also said to have taken a shine to pretty contestant Fleur and was often spotted chatting to her throughout the evening.

A source said: "Lizzy was really hoping she would get to meet up with her brother when she was out in LA, but he has such a hectic schedule.

"After their auditions on Saturday, he got in touch and wanted to take them all out. He bought them Jägerbombs and wouldn't let them put their hands in their pocket all night.

"He spent a lot of time chatting to Fleur. Obviously he was really keen to catch up with Lizzy as well, It was one of the highlights of their trip."
