Cape Town – Come Dine with Me South Africa has been renewed for a second season consisting of 12 new episodes which will start on BBC Entertainment (DStv channel 120) later this year, according to sources.
An official announcement is expected to be made late on Friday or next week, but according to insiders Come Dine With Me South Africa will be back for a second series on South African television after a new deal was reached.
Sources say that ITV Studios and BBC Worldwide, which runs the BBC channels on MultiChoice's DStv, have agreed to commission a second series of Come Dine with Me South Africa which wasn't only beloved by critics for its high production values but caused big viewer chatter for the quirky amateur "masterchef" contestants.
The format show was a massive viewership success, averaging a 100 000 viewers per episode and breaking viewership records in the timeslot.
The second series of Come Dine With Me SA will again be produced by Rapid Blue.
