Johannesburg – Scandal! will be airing on Fridays from 5 July, giving it a five-day slot on e.tv. According to e.tv’s website, the channel has decided to extend the line-up due to the increased demand from viewers who just can’t have enough of it.
Channel head Monde Twala says that the soapie brings in an average of three million viewers a night. “We have been inundated with requests for more of the soapie and staying in line with our vision to grow our local content and to give our viewers the very best, we have decided to add an additional episode per week,” says Twala.
Produced by Ochre Media, Scandal! first aired in 2005 on e.tv and soon became one of e.tv’s most popular shows. The show centres around a Jozi newspaper where ambition, love and deception play out in the newsroom as everyone tries to get a piece of the action.
