Shocking! 7de Laan’s deadly shootout

2015-09-04 19:00

Cape Town - It’s happened again! Hillside’s been struck by another ruthless killer, and this time Neville Meintjies (Zane Meas) is the one to pay the price (again).

Following Charmaine’s (Vinette Ebrahim) crazy twin Vivian’s (also played by Vinette) escape from the asylum, things were bound to turn bad fairly quickly. And boy, did they go bad in a shocking way! On Monday 31 August, Vivian rocked up at the Hillside Times with a gun and some serious anger issues. As Xander (Theo Jantjies) tried to wrestle Vivian to the ground, a shot went off, leaving Neville on the ground and bleeding…

Viewers and Hillside residents were holding their breath as Nellie’s life hung in the balance. However, on Friday 4 September things went from horrifying to heart-breaking – Nellie is dead.

This isn’t the first time Neville’s been visited by death. In 2012, Neville faked his own death to escape from a merciless syndicate. Making his stunning return in May 2014, fans were beyond themselves as the loveable newsman made a comeback.

So, will this be a similar situation? Will viewers get to see Mr Meintjies again in a few years’ time? Grab the 16 September issue of tvplus to find out.
