Sofia Vergara says her Emmy moment wasn’t sexist it was ‘funny’


Los Angeles – Sofia Vergara was left stunned after critics branded her Emmy appearance as sexist.

The actress, who was put on a rotating pedestal during a short appearance on the show, felt like her moment on stage was not sexist but "funny".

Social media and various media publications expressed their shock over Sofia’s moment in the spotlight saying it was a "bizarre objectifying moment".

However, Vegara was quoted by Entertainment Weekly as saying: "I think it’s absolutely the opposite. It means that somebody can be hot and also be funny and make fun of herself. I think it’s ridiculous that somebody started this - I know who she was - who has no sense of humour and should lighten up a little bit."
