Los Angeles - Bridesmaids star Melissa McCarthy will be announcing the Primetime Emmy nominations on July 14, and she needs help.
The actress will be joined at the podium by Fringe star Joshua Jackson on Thursday.
In the run-up to the event, a video entitled Emmy Training Day sees McCarthy approach 2010's announcer Joel McHale for guidance. The two embark on a Karate Kid/Matrix-style 'training exercise' in this spoof video.
The video also pokes fun at McCarthy's latest smash hit Bridesmaids.
McCarthy is also the star of Chuck Lorre's (Two and A Half Men, The Big Bang Theory) latest sitcom Mike and Molly, currently airing on M-Net in South Africa.
The 2011 Primetime Emmy Awards will take place on September 18, hosted by Glee star Jane Lynch.
