Cape Town - SuperSport has officially acquired the broadcasting rights to the 2012 Olympic Games in London for MultiChoice's DStv platform, which will run from July 27 to August 12.
SuperSport will devote multiple TV channels on DStv to show the games, including a 24-hour TV channel and in high definition (HD).
SuperSport will broadcast up to 14 hours of live Olympic Games sport daily after the channel clinched a deal to use the feed produced by the International Olympic Committee.
SuperSport will also have four news crews in London for the 2012 Olympic Games specifically following the teams from South Africa, Kenya and Nigeria with a daily highlights package.
Also on the cards is a special weekend show entitled London Calling which will include special guests and athletes.
SuperSport's Blitz channel will provide regular updates with live feeds.
