TV secrets revealed at Comic-Con

San Diego – Series fans were treated with script secrets and new trailers at Comic-Con this weekend.

The Walking Dead

Fans attending Friday's panel for The Walking Dead at Comic-Con got to see the first trailer for season five.

The new episodes stick largely to the comic-book version created by Robert Kirkman, and producers say it will get even darker in tone.

New faces in Game of Thrones

They travelled a long way from the continent of Westeros to get there, but cast members of HBO's Game of Thrones at a Comic-Con panel remained tight-lipped on spoilers.

They did play a blooper reel and a video introducing nine actors that have been added to the series.

Among the new faces are relatives of the late Oberyn Martell, also known as the Red Viper, played by Pedro Pascal.

Alexander Siddig is Doran Martell, the lord of Dorne and older brother to Oberyn.

Toby Sebastian has been cast as Prince Doran's son, Trystane Martell, the heir to Dorne.

Jessica Henwick will play Nymeria Sand, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers is Tyene Sand, and Keisha Castle-Hughes is Obara Sand.

The Vampire Diaries

Season 5 of The CW's The Vampire Diaries ended with characters Damon and Bonnie (played by Ian Somerhalder and Kat Graham) being separated from their loved ones as they enter a mysterious, purgatory-like dimension.

The cast returned to Comic-Con on Saturday where they played a video of Somerhalder and Graham wondering about their fate off-screen, now that their characters are trapped in oblivion. Are they off the show? Will they get a spin-off
