Los Angeles  - The O.C cast were "miserable" during filming.

Cam Gigandet - who played Kevin Volchek on the hit Fox drama - has revealed that his co-stars Mischa Barton, Adam Brody, Rachel Bilson and Ben McKenzie were difficult to work with and even forgot their lines on purpose.

The 31-year-old told Elle magazine: ''Those kids were fucking miserable. They would not remember their lines on purpose. They were young. That said, I don't talk to anyone I've ever worked with.''

In spite of their behaviour, the Reckless actor admitted he learnt a lot from his time on the show but came away with no fond memories of his co-stars.

''I learned a lot. But the things that I remember now - none of them are good.''

Cam even alleged that Ben, 35- who played tearaway teenager Ryan Atwood on the show from 2003 to 2007 - bullied him on set, although the pair have since made up.

He explained: ''Actually Ben McKenzie was kind of mean to me. I hadn't done anything at that point and he was a little bit of an ass.''

''But I love him. I think he's a great actor and I love Southland.''

The 'Reckless' actor has since starred in Twilight and the teen comedy Easy A.
