Johannesburg - The secret is out. The four coaches for M-Net’s local version of the The Voice SA have been announced.
The four coaches are: Soulful songstress Lira, Afrikaans rocker Karen Zoid, local music's blue-eyed boy Bobby van Jaarsveld and Parlotones frontman Kahn Morbee.
Lira, Karen, Bobby and Kahn's teams of singers will compete against each other in the local version of the hit reality show.
In contrast to other singing competitions, in which the hyper-critical judges critique contestants' performances, The Voice's four coaches, who will all be seated in the show's iconic red chair, play an active mentoring role.
After the blind auditions, these coaches all back a team of singers, who they believe could win the competition.
The race is on not only between the contestants, but also between the coaches who all want to produce the ultimate winner. Therefore, the coaches dedicate themselves to developing their team of singers mentally and musically, giving them advice and sharing the secrets of their success.
If you dream of becoming part of #TeamLira, #TeamKaren, #TeamBobby and #TeamKahn you need to have an amazing voice, be older than 18, have South African citizenship and go to the countrywide auditions which will commence in October. The auditions are taking place in the following cities on the following dates:
Cape Town – Newlands Stadium on 17 & 18 October
Durban – Kings Park Rugby Stadium on 25 & 26 October
Johannesburg – Mark’s Park on 31 October & 01 November
