Tshidi booted off Idols

Cape Town – Tshidi Tenyane from Thokoza has missed out on her Idols dream after getting voted out of Idols SA season 8.

Tshidi, 28, received the least number of votes and ended up in the bottom 2 along with 30-year-old marketing assistant and radio presenter, Monde.

But unfortunately for Tshidi, there were not enough votes in her favour this week.

That leaves the remaining Idols making up the Top 3 - Melissa, Monde and Khaya - to battle it out next week.

Tshidi performed Zamajobe's Ndawo Yami as well as Freshlyground’s first big hit, Doo Bee Doo.

Tshidi posted the following on her Facebook page on Tuesday night: "I am a champion, and im so proud to have made it this far thank you Idols South Africa for helping me build my career, friends and family who helped make this journey a great one my journey has only just begun love you new family."

Watch the Top 3 perform on M-Net and Mzansi Magic this Sunday, 23 September at 17:30.
