Cape Town - M-Net has announced that The X-Factor Season 2 will be returning to South African screens on 6 October 2012.
According to M-Net, the show will enjoy a Saturday and Sunday prime time, double-bill, premiere weekly, broadcast on Channel 101 starting at 17:00.
The South African broadcast of the hit series will start off marginally behind the US schedule, with M-Net broadcasting just three days after the US broadcast within the first four weeks.
The December finale will be broadcast live and repeated in prime time on M-Net.
Judging panel
After much hype and speculation, pop icon Britney Spears as well as singer and actress Demi Lovato will join LA Reid and Simon Cowell as new judges on The X Factor, replacing predecessors Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
