We spent an evening with Siba and it was awesome!

Cape Town – With the second season of Siba’s Table in the middle of filming, Channel24 got to go behind the scenes to see how Siba’s beautiful dishes are prepared for TV.

It starts off with an early set-up, make-up and kitchen prep.

In preparation Siba breaks down the scene, going over every detail of what she will say, when to add this and when to add that.

The importance of doing this gives Siba an idea of the direction she wants to go when the camera starts rolling.

Silence... “tuna salad take one and action!”


After 6 takes and a couple of bloopers, the result is a beautiful modern seared tuna salad that looked mouth-watering!


After a hard day’s work of filming, we were then lucky enough to join Siba and her husband Brian for a dinner date at her favourite Asian restaurant.

Seated at Kitima in Hout Bay the room filled with happy chatter.

The evening concluded with delicious dishes, a tasteful Chardonnay or Shiraz and blossoming friendships.
