Win A Home reality show set to launch

Johannesburg – The four finalists in Steyn City’s Four D Interior Design Challenge will have their designs showcased on SABC 3’s new exciting reality show, Win A Home.

The new weekly show which launches on Thursday evening, 21 August 2014 at 20:00 on SABC3, will be hosted by Cindy Nell-Roberts, Tumi Voster and Maps Maponyane, three of South Africa’s most charismatic television personalities.

Divided into three segments, the first seven minutes of the show, with presenter Cindy Nell will focus on apartment living and lifestyle trends. The second segment will follow the Steyn City Four D competition capturing the exciting challenge between the four design apprentices and their mentors from one week to the next.

The last segment of the show hosted by Maps will follow the progress of Steyn City’s resident designer, Kim Hutton, who will be furnishing a single apartment in the lifestyle resort. The newly designed apartment will eventually be given away to one lucky viewer at the end of the series.

Viewers will be able to vote, via SMS, each week for their favourite young designer. The winning apprentice of the weekly design challenge will be announced on Expresso live on SABC 3, on Monday mornings, and will receive a mystery budget for that week to put into their kitty for the design of a specific room.

The four mentors; Amanda Elliot from Design Collective, Abilene Brodie from Head Interiors, Stephen Falcke from Stephen Falcke Interiors and Nthabi Taukobong from Ditau Interiors will sit on the judging panel at the end of the month to determine Steyn City’s Four D mentees.

They will be joined by Tammy Menton, a Steyn City Representative and Bryan Charters from Steyn City Architecture and Design (SCAD).

In addition to Steyn City, the show’s sponsors include Private Property, Nedbank, PPC, Plascon, Cobra, Tile Africa, Samsung, Cordev Kitchens and Auto & General.

Watch Win A Home every Thursday on SABC 3 at 20:00 starting on 21 August 2014.
