Stefano DiMera is dead.

It’s true… Days Of Our Lives mega-villain Stefano DiMera (Joe Mascolo) has finally met his maker. And Salem’s head criminal went out in true TV bad-guy style in an episode which aired in America on Friday 8 January (we’ll only see it in about 3 year’s time!).

How does the great ''Phoenix", who’s risen from the dead so many times before, die? Stefano takes a bullet to the chest after crossing one of Salem’s citizens who’s hell-bent on revenge.

Surely it’s not over, you ask? He’s been dead so many times and comes back every time. But according to Days executive producer Ken Corday, Stefano’s taken his last breathe. Apparently the almost-87-year-old actor has been ill lately and thus Days was forced to find a way to finalise Stefano’s storyline.
