Cape Town – A new BBC drama created by Peter Moffat is currently being filmed in Cape Town.
The Last Post set in 1965 in Aden is the story of a British army unit fighting a terrorist revolt in the Middle East.
According to The Forge who is producing the six part series it is a close-up look at soldiering and police work but also on the pressures of being married to a soldier.
It is based on Moffat's childhood memories of his father's life as an office in the Royal Military Police and his mother's struggle to be her own person and what the army required.
Cast members include Ben Miles (The Crown), Stephen Campbell Moore (Burnt), Jessica Rain (Call The Midwife), Kevin Sutton (Shameless), Chris Reilly (Call the Midwife), Paul Tinto, Louis Greatorex and Jeremy Neumark-Jones.
The series is set to air on BBC One later this year.
While filming the cast is enjoying all that the Mother City has to offer.
