Big Bang Theory leads offer $100k pay cuts to give co-stars a raise

Cape Town – The five lead actors on The Big Bang Theory have reportedly offered to take a pay cut so their co-stars can get a raise, reports Variety.

According to Variety, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Kaley Cuoco, Kunal Nayyar and Simon Helberg have all agreed to take a $100 000 pay cut from their $1m per episode salary in order to raise the salaries of co-stars Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch.

Bialik and Rauch are currently in contract negotiations for seasons 11 and 12, which might be the final two seasons of the popular comedy show.

The two actresses who joined the show in season 3 reportedly earn around $200 000 per episode. With the agreed pay cut from the lead actors, this means that $500 000 will be available to raise the salaries of Bialik and Rauch. This could mean that they will now earn up to $450 000 per episode.

According to Variety, Bialik and Rauch’s reps are reportedly asking for them to get the same pay as the lead actors.
