Johannesburg - Channel O (DStv 322) has combined a love for music, urban youth culture, celebrity lifestyle, and hot rides to bring fans the hottest music lifestyle show on air: The Channel O Top 5 Drive.
The show takes us into the heads of South Africa’s most popular celebrities to find out what their current favourite tunes are. Hosted by Denise Zimba and Tino Chinyani, the show will hit viewers’ screens every Saturday morning at 09:30.
The show, which has been deemed an “exciting taxi pick up of sorts” sees Denise and Tino give celebrities a “complimentary” Channel O ride, wherein they discuss the person’s favourite music tracks, career highlights and industry news, all in a dose of banter, humour and fun.
The 30-minute show intercuts the taxi ride with five music video selections. The crossover music show caters to all genres, and season one will see our hosts pick up celebrities like A-Reece, Amanda Black, Da Les, Dr Malinga and various others.
M-Net’s Director for Local Entertainment Channels, Reneilwe Sema commented on the new show, “Our fans love hot new music, and they love getting into their favourite celebrities’ headspaces.
