Chaz Bono to guest star on The Bold and the Beautiful

Johannesburg - The Bold and the Beautiful is going where no soapie has gone before – trans characters.

The world’s most watched soapie not only has a full-time trans character causing trouble for the Forrester, Logan and Spencer families, but they’ve just snagged author and LGBT activist Chaz Bono for a major guest-starring role.

Chaz, the son of singer Cher, will play a minister in episodes that air in the United States on 31 March and 1 April 2016.

It’s not yet known if Chaz’s minister character will be presiding over one of Bold’s famous glam weddings but it seems likely…

Says Chaz (born Chastity Sun Bono), “I’m very excited to have been cast in a role on The Bold and the Beautiful. I’m grateful that they are willing to pay me to do something I love, which is to act.”

It will be a while until we see Chaz on South African television screens – look out for his guest appearance in April 2017.
